Finally! After many 2nd place finishes, 96G White put together 3 great games to win First Place at our own Space City Spring Fling tournament.
Playing in the Girls U14 Gold bracket, the girls beat SCFC 96G Red in an exciting 3-2 game. In the 2nd game, we beat a D1 Classic team, DTH 96 Red Girls, 2-1. Together with the Rage 97 from Louisiana, both teams went into the last game with 2-0 records and assured both with places in the championship game. Under mutual agreement, the teams played their 3rd game as the championship match.
SCFC 96G White came out ahead 2-1 and won its first tournament together.
Way to go ladies. A good prep for the Presidents Cup up ahead.
